2022 has of course been challenging for all in a variety of different ways and MM Wealth feel that once more, we would like to support appropriate charities. We are therefore delighted to announce that, as part of our ongoing partnership with Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, we are supporting their latest appeal.
Fuel poverty poses a serious threat to many and funds raised will go towards helping households in need. In a similar vein, a local charity (Allia Ltd) has piloted an idea and reached out to the business community to raise funds to provide electric over blankets for vulnerable households.
With the ongoing situation in Ukraine and the punishing winter that any displaced population will experience, giving to the British Red Cross efforts over there will assist in these extremely difficult circumstances.
Finally, we decided to donate towards the charity, Action for Children, who protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support.
To summarise, the main charities we have selected this year are:
- Cambridgeshire Community Foundation (CCF) ‘Surviving Winter Appeal’ https://www.cambscf.org.uk/surviving-winter-appeal-launch-2022
- Local charity to support heated blankets for elderly (Allia Impact) https://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/news/calling-all-cambridge-businesses-support-winter-heated-blanket-appeal
- Ukraine Crisis Appeal (British Red Cross) Ukraine crisis: three months on (redcross.org.uk)
- Become a Secret Santa for a vulnerable child – https://www.actionforchildren.org.uk/
We also continue to support other smaller charities as well throughout the year, in many different ways. You will see us wearing festive jumpers below and donating to Save the Children UK as a result!
We would like to wish you a happy and healthy 2023. Seasonal greetings to you all.
