What is Wealth Management?

At MM Wealth, we consider wealth management as a combination of providing holistic, bespoke financial planning advice together with a professional investment service.

Are you independent?

MM Wealth is committed to being independent and is authorised as a whole of market adviser. This means we have access to the widest range of products and services rather than being restricted to a limited number of options.

What is a Financial Planner?

A Financial Planner will work with you to create a plan to help achieve you and your family’s financial objectives. Our financial planners well help you to navigate the bumps in the road during the journey whether this be through illness, career change or untimely death.

Do I have to pay for an initial consultation?

No, we are happy to absorb the cost of an initial consultation so we can get to know you and establish whether we will be the right wealth management firm for you.

Do you offer home meetings?

Our review meetings normally take place at our offices, or online via Teams.  However, our financial planners can arrange in-person meetings with you at home if this would be more suitable.

Can you manage my investments?

We are one of a handful of independent financial planning firms in the UK that have their own fully qualified and experienced in-house investment team and can offer a bespoke Discretionary Portfolio Management service to our clients

What does it mean to be a Chartered Financial Planning firm?

This is the gold standard level for financial planning firms, and we have maintained this status since 2016. Chartered Financial Planners are publicly committed to a client-first approach and values that align with a professional Code of Ethics. We’ll provide solutions relevant to your needs, maintaining our knowledge through qualifications and ongoing professional development.

Can you help with preserving my family’s wealth?

Yes, we can build a plan to ensure that as much of your family’s wealth as possible can be passed down through the generations. This is an inclusive process and can include the involvement of children and grandchildren.

Where are the MM Wealth offices located?

MM Wealth main office is in Girton, Cambridge, with offices in Northampton and London.

How am I protected if things go wrong?

Hopefully, with our experience and expertise things will stay on course. However, should an investment or insurance product get into difficulties, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme offers varying levels of protection. You can find out more via the link below:

How can I make a complaint?

If you wish to complain about the advice or service please contact our Compliance Director – for a copy of our Complaints Policy which sets out the process and what you can expect. We will do our utmost to resolve your complaint, however, if we cannot resolve a complaint from you, you can refer it to The Financial Ombudsman Service. You can learn more through the link below: –
