Sarah’s Challenge!

Over the weekend, 22 of Team MM Wealth, family and friends took part in an Inflatable 5K run.

However, it was not just a case of turn up and run…  Oh no, not at MMW towers; the Board set a challenge at the start of the year in the form of training!

The Team had to complete as many walks as possible ready for taking on the 5K trek around the Norfolk Showground in return for Sarah’s designated charity receiving a donation.

And so began the lunchtime walks in earnest from the beginning of this year – some of them in 30 degrees heat!

Overall, from January through to October, over 30 weeks of lunchtime walks took place.

During the summer, Fridays had an extra incentive to walk, with a cake stall selling goodies a three-quarters of a mile walk from the office!

Sadly, on the day itself, Sarah wasn’t able to take part due to injury, however she was cheering us on from the sidelines and providing well-earned cheese straws and sausage rolls at the finish!  The speediest completed the course in just 31 minutes!

The chosen charity was Caring Together, a non-profit organisation based in St Ives whose vision is a world with no unpaid carer in crisis, isolated or struggling alone.  Overall, £1,000 was raised for this charity who provide so much support.
